Hand thrown and wood fired for approx. 86 hrs in an anagama style kiln in Devon. This literally means someone had to be stoking the kiln with wood every 20 minutes for the full length of the firing, day and night. The kiln took 7 days to cool down after the firing.
For comparison, my regular work is fired for approx. 16hrs in an electric kiln and it takes around 24 hrs for the kiln to cool down.
Finished with a Leach clear glaze.
Food safe, hand wash recommended.
**Please note this container has some scrapings on the lid as they came off when removing the shell that was used as wadding.
